Sasso chickens:

It is considered one of the most famous red broiler breeds spread in Egypt and it is raised in two different ways. The first way is for some breeders of these poultry to incubate the chicks until they reach the age of two weeks or 20 days and then sell them to customers, most of whom are locals, to complete their cycle for the purpose of selling them. In this way, good profits are achieved for the locals if they are able to market the chicks. The second way is for breeders to raise Sasso poultry until they reach the age of two months or 55 days and then sell them as meat by the kilo, as the weight of one chicken at the age of two months reaches approximately 2 kilograms. There are also two types of Sasso chicks, which are:

The first type (Sasso first generation) This type is produced by crossbreeding a first generation male with a first generation female and consumes 4.5 kg of feed so that its weight reaches 2 kilograms at the age of 60 days.

The second type (Sasso second generation) This type is produced by crossbreeding a first generation male with a second generation female and consumes 5 kg of feed to give a weight of 1 kg at the age of 70 days.

The first generation chick is distinguished from the second generation chick in that it is more resistant to diseases, more immune, and has a higher conversion rate and weight gain. The price of the first generation chick is more expensive than the second generation, and the mortality rate in the first generation is lower than the second generation.
